How to Apply for the Master's in Hospitality Management

For this Master in Hospitality Management, we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a high level of motivation, academic aptitude for graduate-level studies, and personal qualities, such as strong soft skills, adaptability, and a desire to challenge convention.
Admissions Requirements for the Master in Hospitality Management

English Language
A Bachelor degree (or its international equivalent) in hospitality, tourism, or business management is preferred. However, applicants with a Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered. Those admitted under this category will be required to complete pre-requisite modules during the summer to establish a foundational understanding of business and economics, as well as gain contextual insight into the hospitality industry.
A minimum of six months’ professional experience in the hospitality industry is required. Internships are included. Through your cover letter and interview, you should also show your interest in hospitality & service and dedication to develop a career in these industries.
The program is taught in English; non-native English speakers need to provide language proficiency test results. The following English language tests are accepted:
- Cambridge >= C1
- IELTS 7
- TOEFL IBT 100
- Pearson > 65
- Duolingo >= 130

Application deadlines for next September intake:
- 30th of April 2024 - Deadline for candidates who require a visa to study in Switzerland
Applying early gives you the advantage of securing your seat and time to prepare for your studies.
Application Process
Step 1. Online Application
All of these documents must be submitted electronically via the online application form, except for the original copy of your transcripts and diploma, which you will be required to provide later:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Transcript
- English proficiency exam
- CV
- Motivation Letter (written by the candidate)
- Passport picture
- Letter of reference/Letter of recommendation (can be provided by an academic figure, such as a former university teacher, or by a previous employer as a work reference).
An application fee of CHF 175.- will be required to complete your application.
Step 2. Admissions Interview
Once we receive your full application, the Admissions Commission will evaluate it and let you know if you are selected for an interview. Interviews are 45 minutes and will be conducted via videoconference.
Step 3. Final Decision
Following the interview, the Admissions Commission will make a final decision and contact you with an answer.
