How to Apply for the Master in Hospitality Management

For this Master in Hospitality Management, we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a high level of motivation, academic aptitude for graduate-level studies, and leadership qualities, such as strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, adaptability, and a desire to challenge convention.

A Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) in hospitality, tourism, or business management. A Bachelor’s degree in any related subject may be considered but students are required to complete pre-requisite modules during the summer in order to build up fundamental knowledge in business and economics as well as contextual understanding of the hospitality industry

A minimum of six months’ professional experience in the hospitality industry is required. Internships are included. Through your cover letter and interview, you should also show your interest in hospitality and dedication to develop a career in the industry.

The program is taught in English; non-native English speakers need to provide language proficiency test results. The following English language tests are accepted:
- Cambridge >= C1
- IELTS 7
- TOEFL IBT 100
- Pearson > 65

Application Deadline
Application deadlines for next September intake:
- 1st of April 2023 - Deadline for candidates who require a visa to study in Switzerlan
Applying early gives you the advantage of securing your seat and time to prepare for your studies.
Application Process
Step 1. Online Application
All of these documents must be submitted electronically via the online application form, except for the original copy of your transcripts and diploma, which you will be required to provide later:
- A CV/resume
- Cover letter (including career goals)
- A copy of your passport/ID card
- A copy of diploma and transcripts
- English test scores (for non-native English speakers)
- Work certificates or references from recent employer
- Letter of recommendation, either academic or professional
An application fee of CHF 175.- will be required to complete your application.
Step 2. Admissions Interview
Once we receive your full application, the Admissions Commission will evaluate it and let you know if you are selected for an interview. Interviews are 45 minutes and will be conducted via videoconference.
Step 3. Final Decision
Following the interview, the Admissions Commission will make a final decision and contact you with an answer.
